Hello, to make a good strategy for the Minion system, we need to know how the different types of minions can help boost the power of the heroes in our squads and then choose the right minions according to our squad formation, heroes focus, classes, etc. Here is a short description of the different minion categories according to their cost:

   - 1-Cost minions provide boost to the basic stats by adding points to them;
   - 2-Cost minions provide basic stats points plus an additional skill to boost by a percentage value - attack, defence, HP or agility;
   - 3-Cost minions, along with basic stats, provide boost by a percentage value to crit, END, hit or dodge;
   - 6-cost minions provide basic stats points plus an additional skill, an avatar skill that allows when the hero is defeated, the minion to take their place and continue fighting as their avatar.

No doubt, the most exciting is the new avatar skill, therefore I will present two strategies - with and without a 6-cost (avatar) minion.

Using a 6-Cost Avatar Minion

After reviewing all the available avatar minions, I have noticed that they all are DPS class, which means that they will be most useful if supporting DPS heroes which have high attack and hit rate. But which avatar minion to go for first? When unlocking dungeons in the Nether Realm, there are two paths: one starting from the Skeleton Warrior and going through every odd dungeon, and the other starting from the Footman and advancing through the even dungeons. The highest damage dealing legendary 6-cost minion is the Demon Lord, while the mythic minion is the Ice Dragon. The problem is that the path to the Demon Lord starts from the Skeletal Warrior and the path to the Ice Dragon starts from the Footman. I personally chose to go for the Demon Lord first, then go back and start from the Footman, in order to reach the Ice Dragon. I chose the Demon Lord first, because either way getting the Ice Dragon will be a time consuming achievement.

As for the 3-cost minion, it depends on what is your build for the given hero. If you have a hero with a dodge build, then a minion with hit and dodge boost would be effective, if you have a lot of hit, but are not concentrating on dodge, then a minion with crit and END boost would be a good choice.

A Card Set Without a 6-Cost Minion

As mentioned above, all the 6-cost minions are DPS, therefore they may not be very effective if supporting heroes with not high enough hit rate, like healers or supporters (this is in theory for now, it needs to be tested). On the other hand, using 3-cost and 2-cost minions, may make healers and supporters more powerful and with a higher chance for survival. Here both hit/dodge and crit/END boosting 3-cost minions are a good choice, but again, it depends on your specific build for the given heroes. As for the 2-cost minions, the most popular choice would be for the ATK% boosting ones.

Nether Realm

There is no specific strategy here, because the different items respawn at random places on each attempt, but here is how I categorize the various nether realm items according to their importance. First is the sword, followed by the boss, question marks (?), chests and the other minions. The only tricky item here is the sword, which gives 2 AP, but it does not clear f_tigue. The optimal scenario for getting advantage of the sword, would be when it is surrounded by other items which will clear the f_tigue before and after taking the sword.
