I am curious how the victory or defeat points work for cross server matches. I am not talking ranking 1st through 14th or how many points you get for mining, kills, etc. But at the conclusion of the match you gain or lose total rank points which determine your CS rank on your server. It seems like whether my team loses by 10 points or its a blowout the outcome is -14 points or so off of my CS rank. But if I win its all over the place. I have had games we barely won and my performance was mediocre in;which I got +11 points. Then there are games where I had 650 mine points a huge amount of kills and it was a crushing victory for my team and I get +4 points added to my CS server rank. So basically I am curious what influences the number of points rewarded or deducted since it clearly isn\'t the same every time when you win. It might be something obvious which I missed but as I don\'t know what determines this number I figured I would ask in case anyone or any moderators know the answer. Maybe this could be used to change tactics to get better CS rank points at the end of matches.

        Dear player,

        While we do not get the detailed calculation (just like most of the other formulas in this game), the points you get to win (or lose) during Cross Server are a reflection of how accurately the system feels that you have been matched.

        If you are a low level and by the matching finds yourself as a filler for a higher level level and that you happen to get totally crushed, you\'ll lose very few points, and sometimes none at all. However, if the system believes that teams are balanced, but you still get crushed for other reasons (could still be a higher level downgraded as filler, or some invincible opponent with better build), in case of defeat, you\'ll lose a lot of points. While not an absolute rule, but from my personal experience, I have never seem more than -14 points in case of defeat.

        The same concept is applied in case of victory too.

        If anything, I would say that this is the system in place to balance the difference of levels during matching by adjusting the points rewards. Unfortunately, it\'a also a fact that those ranking points really don\'t mean much, and having more or less of them is probably the thing players doing Cross Server are the least concerned about.

        Perhaps, a reflection of that balance in the amount of Honor points earned rather than ranking points would be a fairer practice for Cross Server? (my opinion only)

Curious how CS match points work.

Thanks for the reply. I usually do pretty well or on games where I don\'t do quiet as well like the one above I still get pretty decent honor for the match. Was just curious if there was a way to maximize the points given for the match itself. From what your saying it appears to be luck of the draw on how your matched up which is fine. Just means you can\'t really strategize for it. Thanks again for the reply.

        Dear player,

        Indeed like you said, it\'s more about the luck of the draw than anything, and something impossible to strategize, which in turn is sort of the reason why some players complain so much about some very bad streaks.
