I have a recahrge issue, recharge is being declined and my card company tells me it is not on their end. Please let me know who I should contact for help with this issue?

it says "The credit card you entered was rejected. Please contact support or change your payment method."

Hey guys, are you entering new cards or trying to recharge from a saved card? If you are trying from a saved card, please try re-entering the 3 digit security code on the back of your cards. This should be re-entered each time you recharge.

  • No I don't save my information and it is the same card I have been using for over a year now with no issues until yesterday.  It is like the website is not loading correctly the background is black, not white like normal.  I have tried to recharge again this morning and it won't go through.  I have cleaned and cleared cache on my computer and it will not work.  I also tried to use another browser and it won't work

  • meadowsweetfm, nyx say you are really a nice person and that you do care so I will not rant at you.

    I tried many different things yesterday and the recharge would NOT work. There also sames to be nobody players with this issue can contact for relief. Thank you for your response.

  • Recharge wont work for me either. Same cards I've always used, no issues until the screen was updated

  • Not my credit institution's problem. I used both credit cards at two retail locations. Both went thru with no problem. Just think, if GTA don't resolve this problem, you just made every casher a free player

Me too! I have to refresh because I also get the message saying LOA won't load and then  the background is black  but I get the boxes to filled out and then I get the same message:  Card rejected please contact support or change credit card.  I called my cc company and my card is good to go, must be on LOA end.

3 days since this was reported. No response other than the MOD's suggestion trying to help. No explanation what was the problem even though it seems to have been fixed although it was fixed to late to claim the rewards for recharge during a Precious event. It would be nice to know what the issue was and what we players need to do to get Recharge issues correct in a more timely manner in the future.

Hi there graydragon, so your recharge came through at least, but was too late to claim the rewards, did you manage to get a screen shot of what you missed? And we would need a transaction ID to have been  able to look into it.

But it could be that if you made many recharge attempts they would flag as a security error, or there could have been a issue with the bank.

  • Zero - I checked with my bank and the said my recharge was NEVER present to them - the have a SS saying my card was declined - The recharge system started after reset so I missed the chance to benefit from the Precious Event that was offered - I was able to recharge after reset but chose to wait since the Previous was no longer available - I did speak with nyx when it happened knowing if it was not my bank stopping the transaction that I needed to talk with the company witch handles the recharge transaction. nyx could not help so I doubt if you can. I was trying to recharge $300 ($299.99) which at the time would have given me 900 tree nectar, 50K bonus diamonds & the Resources which would equal around 2-3 million tycoon points.

    The recharge did not go through. My bank tells me it was on GTA's end not theirs. I have only a SS showing my card declined so I simply would like to know why since I doubt GTA will make good on their error.

Hey gray, it was actually Nyx who told me to suggest the option that i did because i had no ideas either. If you can get me the screen shot, ill be sure to bring it up tonight to see what could be going on.


Alsoo @ everyone. We generally dont see floor replies, so if everyone could move to regular replies, we would see things faster, and maybe get this cleared up a little faster.
