So it just came to me, that I've not asked this, and have not seen it anywhere.  That's not saying it hasn't been, only that my over processed brain doesn't recall it, and I don't telling my guildies something is so, when all I'm doing is really assuming.
How are skill hits regulated.  Do they fall into the same guidelines of the hit/Dodge Pierce/block crit/resil system?  If not, how is it factored, and how do you defend.
Do extradmg/redux tdmg+/-  apply, and can skill hits be criticals, or is that addressed by the lesser % that does greater DMG
Or are they an automatic....your gonna mess someone up when you hit it

as what i've observed, skill hits can be critical,
ex: when you cast a skill it will sometimes show critical(numbers) on the screen
- it also applies with the system of special stats,coz how the special stats work applies to both normal and skill hits

I would imagine that before the skills percents are factored in the damage is first assessed. The skill damage vs skill dam reduction.  I have played against players that my reg damage and crit was showing up as one point and only my skills were actually doing damage,

Kallus, that's in line with what I'm trying to figure out.  What determines whether a skill lands a hit.  There are of course the SkillDMG +/- factors.  I am in a position where my opponents hits and crits are 1, but their skill hits absolutely shred me.....how does one defend that?

Dear maddaddy,

The skills use exactly the same system as the normal attacks do taking into account all the hidden stats paired with the Skill damage or reduction statistic.
The special stats work exactly the same way on them.

However the damage is substantially more and that is because of the percentage and damage bonuses that the skills inherently receive, both from your normal Skill interface but also the Skill Class promotion. If you navigate to your Skill Menu, on the ''Active'' tab, you will see more information on how much damage each skill can add compared to a normal attack which is just amplified by your ATK, stats and some affinities/talents/features.
