If the devs are planning a server shutdown for an update or maintenance, the support staff and moderators need to know about it 24 hours in advance, so that they can put a notice out to all players BEFORE the servers shut down, which will greatly reduce the number of complaints received about losing connection during inopportune moments in the game.

The support staff need to be able to put their notice in-game in the Server Message system, starting 1 hour before the shutdown, so as to let players who are online actively playing and not able to just stop and check the forums and message boards for updates or the login splash screen for updates just before coming into the game.  Some of us pretty much NEVER LOG OFF, like me ... my characters are online 24/7 either doing online auto or actively being played.


Just by doing this, you can reduce the number of tickets being put into the system, thus reducing the work-load for your support team and moderators who handle the complaints of the angry players.  You can even arrange to have extra moderators on hand for when the servers are taken down, so as to reduce the workload of whichever moderators happen to be handy and online at the time of the shutdown, and not have them also be taken by surprise.



Again, I would like to reiterate the importance of properly using your test server, to test events and other things in-game before sending things to the live servers.  If working 1 week in advance is not enough time, then set the test server 2 weeks in advance .... or up to a month in advance ...  after all, players on the test server have NO RIGHT TO COMPLAIN, as they are given free VIP diamonds, rubies, and exp as compensation for their testing and support time.  They are being PAID to be put through these inconveniences, we players on the live servers are not, we are PAYING YOU to have these inconveniences taken care of properly before they reach us... please, a little help here would be nice ... maybe a little understanding, too?

Onyx you have right. And i think sometimes Some one from Development team should come here and read what ppl write and where is most of problem with game. But like you all see they not care about us. then mayby we should quit and left this game for DEV and reach player.
