Chess Hero - Which side is front?

The deploy hero window doesn't show which side is front...

In your formation window, the right side is front. But when you examine others, top side is front. So it's not like there's consistency.

In chess hero when you select your two teams of three heroes, it shows two areas with 4 spots. But it does not say which side is the front and which side is the back. Or does that not matter in chess hero?

To tell you the truth, since we are not able to watch fights in the Chess Hero, I think we can't know for sure how or is it at all important the position of the heroes in the Chess Hero teams. I haven't seen any specific difference with that, maybe someone else did?

Formation does matter, since it decides which hero hits first, assuming same mechanics as in other fights apply.
My best guess about hit order is the following :
1 2
3 4

But given my experience with chess hero is very limited, and we can't see fights as Wind says, it's just a guess based on damage taken by heroes.
