Use of gold dragons & how to protect

What are some ways to use Gold Dragons?

Or, as a plan B, how can I protect what I have?

well, Gold is for pretty much everything .... building an army, researching and building structures, upgrading lords, scouting etc...
About the protction, this is a bit tricky because your warehous starts to protect your gold the second it reaches level 25. Until then you have 3 options:
1. Use shield for total protection so noone can attack you and therefore stal the gold.
2. Send the gold to some either stronger alliance member (or the one who has truce active) you trust will give it back to you when you need it.
3. From castle level 14, you can unlock Merchant chip. Very good use of this is to change resources because when you do that, it takes the resources from the city and changes them for some other one but.... the one you get does not go into the city but into the backpack and that makes is hidden.

I personaly do the third option as much as I can even tho I have truce almost all the time but for the future, it is much better to keep the resources in the backpack and use only when needed which makes them 100% protected without any fear

But in general it is a vicious circle. I have no gold for further development currently, because I get robbed everytime by my neighbors. (I have moved my castle several times and I don't have enough protections anymore). So I would prefer that the warehouse protection also works for gold, otherwise I am not able to upgrade anything.

BTW: I also use option 3, but in a later phase you need 500k + and more gold for one single skill upgrade.

Dear Lord patrit1,

The warehouse protects your dragon coins once you upgrade it to max level! The best way to use dragon coins is by collecting and using the packs you get rewarded that goes into your inventory. That way you always use only what you need and don't leave anything else unsafe.

This I do already, I have only used gold items for actual need, but I am out of my house for at least 12 hours per day and this means I have a lot of gold which I can never protect. This also means that I currently cannot make any expensive upgrades. I don't understand why gold proctection doesn't work already on warehouse level 18 for e.g. Furtermore it could be an option that this protection must be renewed every 7 days, this would be a good compromise to avoid that inactive players cannot be robbed.

Dear Lord patrit1,

Such protection isn't likely to happen in the game anytime soon. What you could do is sharing the overflow with the people in your alliance or create a bank account that everyone protect and truce to keep your ressources safe.
