Hello,

i think a good defense is important.
But i find sad, that is extreme unbalanced and useless at the moment.

You has added some stuff to increase the power of attacks
  • Adel ranks
  • Dragons
  • Tavern
  • Troops appearance
  • new badges/equipment

This much content increase Troopsizes or Att. & Deff-Attributes directly or if you send Dragon, all this points are good stuff but you has nothing to do for the Wall/Fortifications.

What i would say is, the Attackpower is extrem heigher as 6 monts ago but the fortifications and wall has the same stats like 6 monts ago, that is UNBALANCED !!!

What you can do:
  • Add Wallpoints and Repear (increasment) to adel-ranks
  • Add a Dragon for wall and Dragon-skills for wall
  • Add defense Attributes to the Tavern, some commanders can get a new attribute for defense. So you increase Size total Att, deff and Life of army so do the same for the wall and fortifications!
  • Add to Wall level 25 a function like HoF how you can activate Defense-bonus for 24h
  • Sept of 7: add new section "Military defense", then you can add some buffs, increase repear-speed, increase Wall at 25%/50%/75%, increase Fortifications Att./Deff. and all for 4h, 8h, 12h, 24h

I hope you read and accept this good ideas!

Wouldn't it just be easier to tweak the amount of bonus on current research to offset all the new additions? That could be done retroactively.

Walls and fortification were already nearly useless. The fact that they added things to make them even more useless isn't going to be fixed by adding even more to boost already useless features. Those were in dire need of some tweaking months after launch.

  • true, increase researches will balance it too, but create not new content.
    And when Tavern and Dragon exist for wall and Fortifications why you think it not balance it?

    The Attackpower will not be increased only Wall and Fortifications.

    The Tavern increase Att and Deff. when the same will be added to Wall/Fortis then it will be balanced...

    Very more important is, that the wall at heigh level can not be repeared, i have 1.6mil points and i get 22k points per day, this ist big fail -,-

This is an important thread. Potential extremely high attack power versus low and faulty fortification power is no good. I too have invested much into fortifications research, and now I'm learning it is all pretty much useless I agree with ohgoditscory - that the devs can easily fix it by retroactively increasing bonuses on already completed fortification research.

WALL DEFENCE currently is simply so underpowered it is hardly worth spending any time and resources improving .. currently i have 1.35m reinforced wall plus purple oath set, defence special gold commanders [lvl60, fully equipped] .. and my wall still falls in the first attack from much much lower level attackers ..

So many players have posted about this BECAUSE your fortification commanders, oath set bonuses, badges etc are worth NOTHING if wall is down .. PLEASE BALANCE BETTER ASAP

Yah but more players must be post here and in to my other thread.
This is the only way that the devs fix it, when nobody strike then nothing will be changed.

  • agreed .. a long overdue rebalancing and boosting required here. The wall repair rate also needs to be much improved in the early stages, but after it becomes worth having a wall !

Ich wäre auch dafür, die Mauerverteidigung und die Befestigungsanlagen zu verstärken. Dann würde auch der taktische Begriff "Belagerung" eine neue Bedeutung bekommen.
Wenn bei GoT eine Burg zu stark war, hat man sie belagert - über Monate hinweg. Und das war auch in unserem Mittelalter so. So ein bißchen Logik schadet auch einem Fantasy-Game nicht.

Derzeit ist es einfach so, dass man sich die Ressourcen für Verteidigungsforschung etc einfach sparen kann, weil sie ohnehin kaum/wenig/gar keinen Nutzen hat.

    If a castle was too strong at GoT, it was besieged - for months. And that was also the case in our Middle Ages. Such a little logic doesn't hurt a fantasy game either.

    At the moment it is simply the case that one can simply save the resources for defense research etc. because it has little / no benefit at all.
