I have had to use the browser version of the game the last few days because of the desktop app not installing the .exe file correctly.
One example of what is going wrong is that the shortcut for the .exe file is not the usual icon but a blue and white icon that unsuccessfully searches for the GTarcade.exe when clicked.
I have tried installing several times hoping that a new install would fix this, but it hasn't worked.I cannot uninstall what I do have installed as the uninstall isn't being found either.

The brower version (Chrome) is very laggy and makes the game annoying to play.

So I haven't logged in for over 24 hours.

Dear fargist,

Try using this file location(C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Gtarcade\app) to find the files that need to be removed to be able to install the game correctly. If you are still having issues please post here again and I can try and walk you through more options. Also may I have your in-game name and Kingdom # if we need to make a report.

C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Gtarcade\app  There is no content listed past Local, no \Gtarcade\app

I have tried rebooting, just in case, but still won't uninstall (because the uninstall.exe cannot be found) nor does trying to install the download work.

  • Yes.  I have to run two browser versions.  It's slow and lag builds up until an error occurs and I have to restart each account.

Today I tried the desktop app and the download worked, and overwrote the old corrupted version.

So now I can play one account on desktop and one account on the laggy browser game.

It would be nice to be able to play two desktop accounts, the game on the desktop is much smoother, and less frustratring.

I also wish that the price of the game was more competitive with other games, having the price linked to the US dollar makes the game hugely expensive in Australia.  The game isn't even made in the US, so I wonder at the pricing.  The quality is not something that the price would suggest.

  • Agreed, I'm in Australia too and the exchange rates SUCK. I understand that they want a "guaranteed" income per transaction, but why is this always based on the US Dollar ?

    Maybe it's about time that game developers started pricing in local currencies so that $50 was $50 was $50 - would be nice

Dear Lord fargrist,

Several suggestions were made here, I will forward them all to the dev team.
Thank you for doing so and taking the time to write down how you feel as a player during your journey, hopefully several things can be made to better the desktop version.
