Attack bonus interactions and dynamics Reply:3| View:685

regarding the attack bonus there are 2 different main types; Troop specific attack bonus and army total attack.
While each of these are culmulative, how do they interact when in a battle situation?
if i have 500% infantry attack bonus and 300% total attack, could one argue that the total bonus would be 1500% (troop specific x total), or is the interaction 500%+300%?
Since the troop specific is relative cheap to increase and the total attack is very expensive, there has to be a different interaction than just adding them together.
There is also the consideration that a multiplying scenario makes the expensive commanders make more sense.omegle discord xender Also, if i could use glorius set gear to increase total attack to 400% but at the same time it lowers the troop specific bonus to 400% -we either have the same total buff by adding, or we have 1600% by multiplying.
Please let me know your thought on this.

Dear Solomon,
Let me ask to see if I can get the interaction of total attack vs troop attack clarified or possibly if another mod knows.

My Hypothesis is Total modifiers are basicly just modifiers without any unit restrictions.

500 % Infantry attack + 300 % Total Attack equals
800 % Infantry Attack + 300 % Cavalry attack + 300 % Spear attack + 300 % Bowmen attack

Unless you only use one unit type in combat, the commanders with total Attack +15% is just as good as unit specific type commander. If you use say INF-CAV units in a combat. one INF + One CAV commander with attack + 30%, will give you 30% to Attack for both inf and cav. Two commanders with Total attack +15% would give you the same.

The best commanders are those with Total Attack,Health and defense +25 %.

Multiplying the total buffs onto unit specific buffs, i gues would result in extremely unbalanced gameplay.
I dont think that would enhance the game to do that.

Dear Lords,

Extremely good question there and I would tend to agree with gormadoc on his explanation, as this somehow sounds the most reasonable and balanced in the game so far.

Regards
