Rebel Camps: What is the point? Reply:6| View:1478

What is the point of attacking Rebel Camps?
They produce no reward or plunder, little or no exp for leader or commanders; yes we get a 'loot box' that can be auctioned at the merchant's guild; but after 12 hours it always turns out to be about 5-50k of some resource that can be gathered in a fraction of the time. The reward should reflect the risk and effort expended; healing the lost troops in the hospital can cost more than the rewards even when you've applied overwhelming numbers your going to get some dead and wounded.

This feature seems pretty pointless without a decent reward for the effort involved.

I used to do one or two Rebel Camps each day, but that was mainly for the daily task, and letting people learn rallies.

I never check to see what the reward from a crate is, and if other people want to do rallies, I am quite happy to discard crates I have so that they can practice.  A habit I formed because the Spoils task for Alliance Mobilisation needs you to have an empty market slot to count the task being achieved.

The cost of getting other people organised is the main cost for me, if you set the rally for an hour it can get a few people, but the first people in the rally have to wait around.  Another cost for them, their troops being committed for so long.  If you set it too short then people miss out.

The cost of the heals is something I've paid because I like having alliance members learn how a rally works.  But that is specific to our alliance as we primarily are a learning alliance.

With Expedition Beyond also giving points for daily tasks, then doing the Rebel Camp daily is less of a priority for me.

On the subject of rallies in general, it would be good to have a 30 minute rally timer, mainly for dragons, which are on a one hour timer.  So you cannot do the one hour rally with them.

But yeah, the rewards are nothing much for Rebel Camps.

  • Yes, alliance cohesion is the only reason I bother, it is expected that the most powerful players in our alliance run rallies so I do it. However despite 12 power and level 21 castle I can still only do level 2 rebel camps.

Camps are a way to transform your troops into speedups (up to 15h per camp). Which is usually a good trade for most people. Because weak troops are useless and you need researches to make them stronger.

You get a little bit of ressources, and some exp for the commanders of the rally initiator but that's usually a bit irrelevant.

If you're spending more ressources healing than what you get in the camp, you're doing it wrong.
Equip gear, choose troops formation, ask for correct troops, make sure you have enough people in the rally, do high enough camps and rewards should really be good enough for the cost.

  • No. I've never received a speed up, usually the only reward is 5k-50k of resources after 8-12 hour wait on the auction house.

  • if you do lv25 camps you also get often 15h speedups, and there are differt auctioned times 4h, 8h, and 12h.

only if you do the lowest power lv off the same camp give as result a long auction time

  • Level 25 camps, how much power, how long did it take to get to that level?

I can see the reason those should be restricted but the level 4/5 chests from level 2 camps with 5 million power and everything below are worthless waste of time when you're level 21 castle with only 12m power.

  • I agree.  The Level 2 Rebels Camp rally attacks seem to be absolutely pointless and there should be some sort of instant reward, a bit like that from Rebel Group attacks.

Rebel camps are one of the best ways to level up your commanders..but they only get XP if you are the rally initiator. It is also agood way to practice in real time how the countering of troops work...and it is also good for alliance morale..

The auction time also seems upside down, both in terms of common sense and game mechanics/balance.

Surely the low level/value stuff should be the easiest (therefore quicker) to sell than high value goods which should take the longest.

A second hand VW is far easier to sell than a second hand Porsche.
