I have 2.4m power and lord level is 29. In the city screen, my quest flyout menu on the right hand side is recommending that the next campaign quest should upgrading Lv. 1 fortification repairs from 8 to 9 which will cost me 7m gold dragons.
There are a number of other quests available with a much lower gold dragon requirement. Why am i being prompted to complete this request first which is going to take up so much time and resource for very little gain?
As you very specifically said, the game is suggesting you to do that research, this absolutely doesn't mean that you should follow the said guide, if you wish to prioritize something else, you totally can.
