Help with Line up

New to this game, level 42, playing 3 days almost 4.

Zweihander-Augustine - Purple
Magic Lolita-Maggie - Purple
Night Sentinel-Boyle - Purple
Beserker Claw-Skoll- Orange

Ally??? Don't know how to use this feature
Mermaid-Nicole - Purple
Demon Hunter-Beenda - Purple
Skeleton Archer-Hathorne-blue

What is this feature, how do I go about Choosing a good line.

Hi Harlequin, If you go to hero's and click the little button that says Rec-Lineup, it will show you all the recommended hero lineups for you squad, they are really good.
Allies are used to Buff your characters, this is done by choosing allies that match affinities of your main squad different heroes will give different buffs, there are a lot of different combo's which can be used, they can buff your main squad further later in the game when you hit level 65, you do this by using scrolls to level them up in 10's similar to how equipment enchantments levels work.
My suggestion would be to have a look at the rec-lineups, then look at the heroes available and see which abilities you like the look of the most, and use the rec-lineups to helps you create your squads, write it all down on a piece of paper and keep it beside you. Then you can keep looking back on it so you know which heroes you will need to choose from the hero shop later on to build up your team. Plus due to your level I suggest working on getting a legendary team put together and not bothering getting new epic heroes as legendary are much stronger than epic.
