A while ago, I posted this: http://community.gtarcade.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=210439 Essentially, it says that I suspected that every detail of every turn of the battle is being sent to us in the battle log, when all we care about is the total damage each side takes. Just 2 numbers. That is all.

I have done some additional checks since then, and I can confirm that it is indeed what is happening. freyafm mentioned that he brought that page to the devs attention, but it's been so long and it's still not changed. Perhaps it wasn't put as urgent. Can a mod bump the issue again?

Silver War is the only battle log that is efficient, and does not send every detail of the battle to us. It only sends what we need.

Tell the devs to look into the "getReport" function of the game code under the class "UserFight". They need to make it similar to the "getReport" function used in Silver War. We do not need to receive the data for the whole battle in the simple log (we only need it after we click replay on the battle log)

(Yes those are the actual names for functions used in the game code.)

whole game is lagging bugging on battle screen , logs ect. and a mod said : nonono its just your connection and don't ask for compensation bla bla bla .....

This is a loading issue (or can be your browser/connection issue), it can be fixed just after a few seconds of waiting for the feature to load and/or getting out and in a few times.

Other suggested solutions are clearing your browser cache and/or trying a different browser.

You have to prove that there is a need to. Anyone can take a quick screenshot on a slow loading battle log (or anything) claiming it's a bug and asking for a compensation.

all mods are players like us..with little or not technical skill at all. The explanation that all this game failures are associtaed to players PC or connections, are just a dishonest justification to avoid responsibilities.

Myself have a nice piece of hardware and a nice internet speed connection (80 Mbps) , i don't have problem streaming any content on the web, or playing the most heavy games.

The true is that GT has a difficulty deciding onto running for our pockets or keeping a decent quality on the game. Other games have not problem balancing this equation, so why LoA dont do the same?? Maybe because gamers we have become to addict and weren't able to quit the game as the logic response toward the multiple failures of the game.

  • Yeah, so unlike all the other people complaining that something isn't working. Being an software engineer, I actually have the ability to look into it further, and identify more closely what the problem actually is.

    Whether the mod does forward it, and if the devs actually know what they are doing so they can fix it is another story.

By fixing what I have mentioned, even if lag occurs, the loading will not take long because the file size is significantly smaller.

The current complaints that the battle log is stuck until you refresh is not accurate. What's happening is that the log is now loading very slowly (which does not help when the file size is so large). (I checked the speed of the battle log being uploaded from the server itself, not my internet speed). It will eventually load, but after a long time.

From what I experience, the battle log in this lag takes like 20 seconds to load for gauntlet and over a minute for PVP battles.

With this change, (estimates based on file size reduction scale), the loading during lag will take like 2 secs for gauntlet, and maybe 5 secs for PVP.

When it's not during lag, it'll be pretty much visually instant, like in Silver War.

  • simple...poor technical skills...by example the CHAR loading problem is simple...is too heavy..too many items adding with every new event...i remember when i started this game having 3-4 pages was a lot...now the media is 20-25 pages. I suggested to them last time to reduce  this putting some items in their respective event..like gems..we dont need gems on chart..as we dont need other items. Divine War still there..get rid of that event and compensate for the items we have in inventory. They need to do a recycle time to time to keep the load fast.

Thanks Yagami for the efforts. All we can do is to pass the message you know. I am suffering from this problem myself, no matter what connection i use, even with high material it doesn't seem to be working well.

We will see what we can do about it. I guess no one wants the game to remain half-broken, devs or players, we all want it to work well for a mutual benifit.
