Forge: Add Shards to Exchange

Why Smelting? As nice/interesting as it is, WHY NOT JUST Add Shards to Forge> Exchange?

How difficult can it be to set it up ala Gems so that any 100-shard Item-shard can be exchanged for any *other* 100-shard Item-shard?? Same for 200-shards, 250-shards, and 500-shards. Can even add a conversion…
5x 100-shard = 1x 500-shard
2x 250-shard = 1x 500-shard
5x 100-shard = 2x 250-shard
        etc

At worst you segregate shards by Item-type… Angels, Heroes, Clothing/Wings (interchangeable if of a Set), Mounts

No Whole Items tho, let exchanges for them remain as Side- and Hot-Events. Same for the new Chests as seen in recent Lucky Wheel, let Unopened Shard Chests be exchangeable/recyclable for other Unopened Shard Chests. ;

For example I needed to finish Claudia. With Lucky Wheel I got enough/more than enough to synth her, I no longer need the Claudia Shard Chests and would rather exchange/recycle/trade-in for other Chests. ;Likewise I already have Amora and Fortuna… and expect at some point to complete other Shard Items and will no longer have a need for *those* Chests.
