upgrading heroes question

Ok I have more than the 4 main heroes and back up hero. If I upgrade the others for the event can I inherit that to a hero that has a higher upgrade already with out lowering that upgrade lv of the one im inheriting to. even if it doesn\'t give the full lv it still be better than wasting it just to get a small amount of serapha stones is why Im asking btw.

It won\'t lower the lvl. But you will lose the evo from the lower player.
