Pertaining worries of cheating and a disolving server.
It\'s okay for guilds to have rivalry, even healthy... but you have to contain that. Often it\'s the little things. We make a habit of congratulating the boss-killers in World Boss, for instance, in world chat. If people lash out about cheating in Twilight Clash (the most common complaint I\'m aware of) , our main veterans will make sure to calm things down, remind people what bug this is, and that people in our own guild have the same bug (hasn\'t been needed for some time).;
During TC we tend to trashtalk a bit in world chat, but always in a friendly way; afterwards we congratulate and thank each other for the match. I myself have tossed my alt in the main rival guild (with their permission of course, and no secrecy!) so I can easily have a chat with them if needed, throw them a guild boss or things like that. ;And of course just having the occasional chat, stripping for non-guildies when needed, all things like that. Keeps the server happy .
As said, if there are specific cheat suspicions coming up that you\'d like a comment on, do share. Player names shouldn\'t be necessary; this is about explaining what\'s likely going on. I make the presumption of innocence with that; if needed, mods can check out cases that we cannot explain otherwise.
Bottomline is, start that communication, be nice. Stand up for non-guildies who are being treated unfairly.;Likely there are others who would gladly reciprocate, but who (perhaps like you?) don\'t want to make the first move. Once you get that going, even if there are a few who will harbor their resentment, they\'ll be the exceptions. Most important task is for the guild leaders, who also have to keep the guildies in line if they go too far.
It can be as easy as just having a little fun in world chat together. In my case that started some friendships between guilds, which we could later build upon. Have a chat with a rival during TA. It serves as a very good reminder that those people are just like you. Exchange some thoughts on your builds among the hardcore players, it helps respecting each other.;
In the end, that\'s in everyone\'s interests. You want healthy rivalries where players will study each other, have someone to measure themselves against and improve that way. As in any game: you know it\'s right when after a minute-long battle one side drops to the floor and says nice shot .Translate |
