(Poll) What defensive superior gem do you prefer: Block, Dodge or Endurance?

        Pros and Cons:
        Block:
        ++ Higher growth rate.
        -- Reduce only 50% of the damage received.

        Dodge:
        ++ Reduce 100% of the damage received.
        -- Low growth rate.

        Endurance:
                        ++ High help against Mages and Zodiac battles.                                -- Growth is only available through Gems (not available in Passive skills nor Astral).

        well i don\'t know enough of the percentages to know which one to pick yet.

        Dodge would be best of course if it process\'s a lot , since dodging 100% is better than any other action. But if you rarely dodge, then its not worth taking.  You also have to figure out does it apply to magic aoe damage, or special abilities, etc.  Its all about how much it works.

        So block and dodge would be very similar based on their proc ratio. Again I dont\' know the percentage of how they work so dont know which is better. Dodge would have to work 1/2 as much as block to be equal.  So just based on the descriptions dodge is the choice until someone figures out the percentages of them occuring.

Dodge is better especially as a magic user because your hp lvl is lower anyways, and the blocked shots can still 1 shot you if it is high enough damage, whereas with a dodge it misses you altogether.

        well ive just been playing a week or so, but some of the higher players in my guild have said that dodge doesn\'t occur enough to be worth it, that block is much more perfered, since it can even block certain magic effects that ignore defense and are annoying like fireball. Not sure if its true im not that high a level but they lead the server in power so I take their word for it.

        According to them, dodge useless, block is decent, and a lot of higher ups like crit and endurance also, with a little bit of hit thrown in. What i haven\'t heard of being used much is agility and dodge. So any extra info can help. Their main 4 gems are of course DEF/MDEF/HPS and ATT/MATT.. Then their 5th gem on items goes to the Crit/Hit/Block/End etc.  These are from level 45-50 players, im not sure what the older servers and level 60-70 players use.

dodge rarely happens, just like block, but they both are useful. dodge doesnt happen in world boss, and block can happen in world boss and gauntlet, as i\'ve seen it happen before, and when u get a block in, u gain an  extra turn and can get in more dmg

        it isn\'t worth investing on dodge..
        why?.. it does not proc a lot  and its easy to counter just add alot of hit..

        block doesn\'t have a counter procs alot if you have high block rate

The most important difference between dodge and block gems is that when you dodged the hit, your rage doesen\'t grow, but if you blocked the hit, your rage growsand hero does it\'s Superhit back very quick!

        I\'m not quite sure I see how Endurance is ever useful, at least until the marginal return of block becomes almost 0.  Dodge seems to never proc, so that leaves block.

        Assuming linear relationships - which is a stretch, most games utilize some sort of decaying growth - block is always the better choice because it will fully negate the bonus of a critical hit by actually lowering to below a regular baseline hit.

        It all depends on how the defense bonus is utilized and when its applied in the damage formula.

        My personnal opinion depends of the class you are:

        Paladin:
        Most likely use BOTH Dodges and Block gems.

        Berseker:
        None. Go full crit.

        Mystic:
        Dodge > Block
        Crit is a necessity

        Sorcerer:
        Dodge > Block
        Crit is a necessity

        END gems sucks hardmode. You also gains +200 END from Yellow Mount upgrade.
