Character for a server to another

when a server is down and i can\'t log in to a server because of technical problem or maintanace problem i go to another server so i can play but the problem,when i go to another server i can\'t use my same charather i go back to zero characther again,can anyone answer why i cant use may old characther can\'t use to another server?

        It\'s because the characters you make are linked to the server you made them in. If every characters from every servers were on all servers, the top player from server 1 would be top player in all the servers at the same time. In order to have different top players, you have to make each servers separated from each others, meaning a character you create on server 9, for example, will only be available on server 9.
