This is a big issue.  I have attempted to bring this to your attention through the support ticket system, but all I got was a thank you for your feedback, and we will continue to try to improve our game comment.
I noticed it a while back, but have recently due to severe team modification tested this situation and I realized just exactly how big an issue it is.   


The problem, everytime you level up using blessing stones, sage stones and soul stones, we are loosing approx 5% of our resourses in the process.  To understand what I am saying,  it appears that for every 1000 of the various stones that are used for leveling, roughly 40 to 50 of them are just dissapearing.   Simple test to see if anyone else is experienceing this.  Note how many of any of these stones you have in the beginning,  start the upgrade process.  Along the way stop the upgrade, and add the stones in the bubble (blessing stones in this example)  to what you have left to upgrade with and then compare that to what you had when you started.   


I am finding on all of these stones, that I am loosing about 40 to 50 per 1000 used,  Or to better explain the loss,  at the going rate of these stone depending on price according to where your getting them,  it is about 150 - to 1000 diamonds (or topaz if your using them) per thousand used to level.    Over the life on one hero, leveled to level 15 this is a huge sum of diamonds,  On a recent level going from level 9 to level 10  It cost me 6605 blessing stones to do the leve according to the game, but it actually cost me 7013 blessing stones to actually get to that level. Thats on just one hero going from R9 to R10 A loss of 408 blessing stones with the value of between 1224 to 4080 diamond/topaz depending on where those blessing stones came from, a combo of events, farming, and special purchases.


In that this game is constantly evolving, and I find myself rebirthing heros, to replace them with other heros to try to build a stronger team, some of these heros are leveled and releved several times, this number quickly runs into the 10s of thousands in diamond losses.


In a nutshell, you are skimming 5% off the top every time I level a hero, pet or elemental runestone.

  Note, I am suspecting this might be due to lag issues,  depending on how bad our individual connection is or how laggy the game is running, because it takes so long to level up with the slow trickle of stones system used in leveling,  as the actual amount of loss does vary slightly and seems to be a larger percent of loss the longer the upgrade takes depending on level your upgrading to.

I dont think it's a bug. I think they want it that way and did that on purpose.

  • Server 1007 Zed.  Is my in game name.  I also have two tickets about this with support, so I am easy to contact.  To:  Natsudluffy, I hope your wrong, because this would be the same as the bank taking more money out of your account every time you write a check or use your credit card they took out a little extra just cause, without telling you.  Maybe if the bank told you they were adding taking out 5% more than you spent with every transaction,  but even then I would suggest you find another bank hehe

If you're at an upgrade that requires 20 blessed stones per use, and you click upgrade once, there's 3 possible outcomes. 1) it used 20 blessed stones and your upgrade goes up by 20. 2) it uses 20 blessed stones and your upgrade goes up by a number more than 20. 3) it uses 20 blessed stones and your upgrade goes up by a number less than 20.

Yes, outcome 3 happens more often than outcome 2 unfortunately. This is the way all upgrades like this have been done since the start of loa1.

Here's a tip. If you spend 20k blessed stones on an upgrade and you are on the very high end of the number of stones required to do that upgrade (you see many others got it for 16-17k), spend the few diamonds and some time to rebirth and start over. I've done that and gotten the upgrade for less which saved me a few thousand stones. Better to do this only once per hero/runestone as you may not be guaranteed to upgrade that same level again with that same amount.

I kind of agree that it would be nice if it gave a 1:1 upgrade per stone, but meh.

  • I fully agree and realize that how many blessing stones it will take to do an upgrade is different for everyone which is why we see all the folks that have upgraded to that level, and how many stones they have used,  I get that,  however in this case,  when you are done it will tell you how many stones you used,  but the amount it says you used for the upgrade, and the amount you have left over after the upgrade, when added together is less than you started with.   Case of the 20,000 stone upgrade, if it says you used 20,000 stones to upgrade, you add that to what you have left and you will find that you would be missing somewhere around 800 to 900 more stones that it should have.   example,  you have 30,000 to start,  it says you used 20,000 to do the upgrade, but when your done, you only have 9200 left.

  • Yes, that is the result 3 I mentioned. It's not so much 20k stones used to upgrade it's 20k "upgrades" which cost you (for example) 20 stones per upgrade click, which gives you 18-22 (random amount) of upgrades. It's weird the way it works.

  • so for your example, yes it cost 20,800 stones to get 20k upgrades. I agree it should be 1:1 to make it easier.

hell yea bro and I'm losing will to play the game on a daily basis and not as active as before coz its diiging up our pockets and never stop upgrading for new items they present every events.  I tried not to spend but youll be left behind feeling like a nub again lol. its all bout money... good luck man hope they listen to you,,

sorry cannot post anymore it appears, last two replies claims I have included banned words,  I cannot find any word that should be banned, unless its the truth that is being banned.  I am done with this thread, its up to them to fix it or clarify it.

This appears to have been fixed with the faster leveling process with todays update,  Two tests, and almost spot on,  off by two stones one test, and 5 the other one,  both were in the 4 and 6 K upgrade amouts.   I want to take the time to say I am impressed that this was dealt with so quickly,  Communications are a bit ruff, but at least your kicking butt on keeping your game running well.

Hi, Also this was not a bug, who said anywhere that every stone is supposed to give 1 point? It can happen that you throw in 8 and get only 5 points, thats just how the system works.

Hi,

The dev team has responded to this issue and indicated that the game mechanism is to float the resources used. Here is their response:
"The number of bless stone used is floated, it is the game mechanism".
