Battle Royale

Good Morning,

Our guild noticed in the Battle Royale MVP ranking, a player in 1st has 34 MVPs.  Yet, this was at end of game day on 5/23/17 and the Battle Royale started 5/20/17.  As far as our guild knows, each player has up to 8 attempts per a day.  This would mean the max possible MVPs for a player would be 32.  Are we missing an opportunity to acquire additional attempts?  Any guidance is appreciated.
