Mod or Tech Support Application

        I realize, most unfortunately, that I missed the application deadline for forum moderation recruitment, but I am hoping that I can catch the attention of the devs or current mods and possibly be considered for a position here.

        I have been with LoA for over a year now, and watched many things change, both for the good and the bad. I am sorely aware that, in order to keep up with the rapid growth of the community that plays this game, GTArcade is in need of experienced assistance to help players with many of the issues that have arisen. I have over 18 years of experience in Programming and Design, ranging from IT Security and Hardware Support, to Website/Game/App Design and Development. I have spent many years in technical support and customer service in the performance of those fields.

        What would be the most enjoyable aspect of this job for me? The ability to offer meaningful assistance to a community of players that I have come to enjoy gaming with. I have approximately 14 characters across several servers, I believe roughly 8+ of which are level 60+. I realize that there will be those that view this post as pointless or out of place, and I respect that. I hope, however, that I might be considered for a position to be able to hopefully help improve things for ALL of us.

        I know that there are many of us, including myself, that have been very frustrated with things that have happened with this game, but it takes people willing to step up and help to make things better. I would even be willing to do the job WITHOUT the diamonds benefit, because I truly want to help.

        What they actually need, is a better company structure.

        The programmers in their company somehow can refuse to do as operation requested. Their operations is of lower rank than the developement and leads to 100 request to fix something from support and only 1 they may choose to fix halg heartedly.

        The issue with chester exposure and FMs forced SMs into giving evidence of thier own demise is another issue that is not the focus of your topic. If you want to know more about that, go to the FB group.

Not sure where you would draw the conclusion that I am a sellout from, but to each his/her own. I am choosing to attempt (whether in vain or not) to help is however small a way that I may be able to lend my skills to do.
        Mods have a difficult task in that they must play the go between with difficult patrons and difficult devs. I am hoping that I MIGHT be able to add another voice to that arena, rather than spending my time voicing my frustrations here and offering nothing other than that.

        I agree that there are problems inherent with the structure and willingness of the company as a whole... I also hold no aspirations of being able to change these issues as a JFM... Having the years of experience in this industry that I have, that would be like taking a leak in the wind and hoping not to get wet LOL!

        What I do hope for is to be one of the ones that at least has the ability to have elevated levels of contact with the devs, in an effort to help get ideas and solutions to them in a more direct manner. What they do with them from that point is beyond my control.

        Some mods are still there...well, what is left of the mods anyways. They are still reporting emergencies and player issues to the best of our abilities. Whether or not they listen and fix the crap is not up to us.
