Ok here we go. I\'ve said in the past you don\'t need to mind brake us to be successful and typically a game will stop after a certain period of time but I don\'t see it happening. TL;DR alert. and no i am not a know it all and i\'m find with negative reactions comments especially with explanation. Understanding the system and your;voluntary;participation;is very important and think that would lower the negative vibes we constantly see.
1) Competitive aspect, only a person or so out of many to worry about in COM, a couple of dozen to focus on in cs COM not the tens of thousands players. Also the arena always shows someone better. In cross server war you will be stressed to go into a war without someone stronger then you. Not to mention comparative progress between rivals in pve events and a system of ebb and flow difficulties... well i guess i just did. Can be difficult to realize just how amazing your character is but a Hey weak-sauce look at how may ppl can win without breaking a sweat and to forget we all have circumstances preventing us from reaching Phoenix\'s power. Well that is accepted...why does it only work on an extreme level.

2) Nurture helplessness;Helplessness in it\'s most prevalent form here comes from events and hot events. Do x get y reward and quicker progress and decide to just do whatever the hull you want will not do as well. Doesn\'t that make someone submissive to the will of the the game? The backlash of those who do vs who don\'t is quite a bit of evidence of this effect.;Changes occur that can drastically change the dynamic of the game. Like awakening giving us more variability;and to a lesser extent dark abyss giving us more resources then I thought i\'d ever get at least. Price changes and compounding, percentages ect ect.
3) Divide a conquer-;Casual, daily, extreme activity separation. Non diamond users, light diamonds mid diamond users, high diamond users all exist and don\'t seem to care a ton about each other. Guild, server (time entered the game). Even saw faction separation. Relating to anyone is harder leading to misunderstandings on behavior. So ppl vent, troll, hide things ect.
3) Greed is good-;We don\'t all need to read Ayn Rand\'s book collection to understand this;concept. People may look down on;the people of massive greed but when it comes to economical aspect it is quite the virtue. I find it hard to negate that argument as much as i want to and this can turn into the mis-understanding as a fight among ourselves as players;so gt is less blamed. Every-time someone says you greedy mo it is probably a compliment.
4) Our true voice -;Our voice is the tangible currency and those who don\'t have them don\'t get to voice plain and simple. This works well to get away from a representative society;as they can only be represented by people who do use tangible currency (most want a large population vs a free player exodus). Some can get a thousand voices every time something they see they like some may only get 5 and a large population with 0.;
5) Detached reasoning a behavioral analysis --What I have described earlier;disconnect us from true cognitive analysis to understand what is being done. This increases compulsion. Have many many choices of what to do this lowers;satisfactions;of purchase (so get both :/). Not to mention every purchase and behavior able to be seen is known by gt so they get better and better at appealing to our reflexive part of ourselves and ignore the thinking part of ourselves. Very very easy to hide with;incompetence;in other aspects by the dev.
6) Physiological validation-- Conditioning is the easiest to see but there are people who are very prone to this by sole reason of having many many more receptors in the brain which takes a lot of activity for these things to remain healthy. Positive reinforcement can turn to addiction. Negative can turn into avoidance (like taking a break).;Desire for focus can result in obsession. The creation of a sub-society allows people to gain status in the society and we all know the pull of societal status.;I know this on a chemical level a bit more clearly but a game like this tries to hit weaknesses in our psyche (those are personal...I may be a freak or others may add to the list)
I don\'t feel like continuing as nobody will read this (ty if you did) but it is vital to know the what is up before getting too invested. After reaching a point of no real circumstantial improvement just was able to take a more outside look at how something like this does to people (because what it does for us is a much more surface thing may be optimism or something idk).
