How do most people gem their healers?   Like a regular DPS caster?  Or more defensive?

People gem up djinni all the time. The difference between the mercs/party companions of the same general experience isn\'t a huge difference. If you have a shadowwraith and a djinni, and you want to do team arena many just gem up the djinni with good gems and you\'ll have your tank with generally the same hps and stats, and will have a better healing ability than maybe the shadowwraiths hp shield. All depends, any merc that is gemmed up good will be harder to take down. Its mostly about hero rank and gems slotted, not the actual heros. Just depends on playstyle. If you have a djinni and no other oranges, and want to use it as a tank, feel free, stick it up front, put bunch of good defensive gems on it, and it will perform fine.
