Attack vs Basic Attack

Can a Moderator or player explain the difference between Attack and Basic Attack, as some skills say the Damage= attack + 1400 , and others say, Damage = Basic attack+ 1400. What\'s the difference and does Dragon Soul affect both, neither, or, one and not the other?;;;;

        Quick answer they\'re the same, just a translation on the description changing it it slightly;and DragonSouls will effect it the characters Primary ATK Stat

        Long answer
        Basic/Starndard/Normal attacks are you standard normal attack based on the character primary ATK. MATK (Mages) or PATK (everyone else)

        Rage/Skill (Special) attack triggered attack once the character meets the requirements, which could be 0 rages to 100 rage.

        The Rage/Skill attacks/heals are based on the characters Primary ATK stat.

        Unfortunately they\'ve never released the formula to figure out the damage
