Karsons Guide to Inferno Reply:7| View:1144

                        Inferno

                        The first screen you see is where you will form your teams.

                        Teams can be one person and go up to three people.

                        So YES you can solo this.

                        Once you either Create or Join a team, you will see a sort of lobby area.;

                        Everyone can get their stuff set and ready in this area, then click ready and wait for all players to be ready.

                        Party leaders may Invite their friends or Rally Call which announces to world that you need a player.

                        Once all players are ready, they hit start.

                        First thing you see is a Grid! Much like Erebus in that sense.

                        On this grid, you will see buffs, teleports, treasures, Mobs, and Artifacts.

                        The only ones you need to focus on is Mobs and Artifacts.

                        Skip the rest, they aren\'t needed.;

                        Mobs look like the characters standing.

                        While Artifacts take on three looks, indicated by a square piece.

                        The trick to Inferno is, you need to move as FAST as possible!

                        The less time spent in it, the more rewards indicated by your rating on the timer.

                        Be careful though, move ONLY when your movement cooldown is at 13 seconds or less!

                        You can move any time so long as the cooldown isnt red, if it is however you are stuck.

                        Again, only move when it says :13 or less! It keeps you from being put to red.

                        You also see how many monsters and artifacts are left until boss opens up.

                        When you step on an artifact, you get a pop up confirming that you wish to pick it up.;

                        Of course you do.

                        On the mobs, you get a fight window then it\'ll either say you lost that fight or you won.

                        No fear though, if you lose, attack again.

                        Their health will be lowered.

                        A barricade surrounds the final boss at the end until you collect all the artifacts and kill the mobs.

                        So be sure to keep moving!

                        Once they are dead you can move in and kill the boss.

                        The barricade will be gone.;

                        and after that, you have won!;

                        Only one person needs to fight the boss unless it kills them.;

                        Rewards are sent in mail.

                        The best paths to take if you are soloing are:

                        The S formation

                        The Zig-zag formation

                        The best path for 2 players:

                        The best path for 3 players:

                        Make sure everyone knows where to go and to move 13 seconds or less!

                        Watch for +10 to movement cool downs, they pop up at any time.

Karsons Guide to Inferno

                        Make sure everyone knows where to go and to move 13 seconds or less!;

        Well, i think you forgot to say why. The game puts you on CD (stuns/freeze you, make the timer go red) when your move CD is 30 or higher.
        Each move costs 5seconds. Each move can trigger one of the 4 next effects when the target is an empty cell (can NEVER happen when you go on a cell with a mob/artefact/buff/aso):
        - +10s to stage CD (the timer determining the rank will jump by 10seconds, so 1:30 will jump to 1:40). Makes everyone lose their popup (if an ally was on an artefact and didn\'t confirm before the +10s, the popup will disapear). Needs to go back on the cell to reopen the popup, or leave/reenter inferno (may cause glitch on stage timer).
        - -10s to stage CD (the same in the other way, so 1:30 will jump to 1:20). Makes everyone lose their popup.
        - +10s to move CD (the timer that can put you on CD, thus making you stun)
        - -10s to move CD (the timer that can put you on CD, thus making you stun)

        Moving only at 13 (14 actually, maybe just for lag case) allows you to stay in white when you move to an empty cell every time. Cus 13 (starting CD) + 5 (move) + 10 (+10s effect) = 28 (lower than 30, thus not red).

        I\'ll add optimal paths are never optimal, because the relief of inferno changes everytime, thus Player 1 could get 0 stuff to do, or be blocked by a wall/tp wall. It just gives an idea.

Karsons Guide to Inferno

        - the cd reduction buffs (movement, artifact and battle) are useful, most of the times, as they reduce (respectively) 2/2/3 seconds (thus the cooldowns for these actions go from 5/5/12 to 3/3/9); you can get the most of one buff when you wait until your own movement timer reaches nearly zero (you can opt to move at 10 seconds if you\'re confident enough that you\'ll trigger the -10 movement cd random buff, taking your own timer from 10 seconds to 5)
        - you can (but not necessarily have to) abuse the fact that (random) clearance time increases/decreases clear the pop-up windows to go through teleport/treasure spots without having to teleport somewhere else or paying 10 seconds to open the treasure; be warned that this trick can backfire on you though, in case none of your partners happen to trigger random clearance time changes
        - it\'s ideal that (when doing inferno with 3 players) at least one of the players reach the boss first while the others help clear the map, said one player could kill less enemies and/or collect less artifacts to get to the boss faster

edit:
forgot this
- when you have enemy cooldown reduction buff, it\'s safe to attack enemies at 20 seconds (they will bring your timer to 29); when you have movement cd reduction buff (imho the most valuable of the reduction buffs, as you basically save 2 seconds for every mobless tile you have to walk into), it\'s safe to move at 16 seconds (even if you get the 10 seconds movement cd increase debuff, you would still go to 29 seconds as moving to enemy-less tiles cost you 3 seconds); when you have artifact cd reduction buff, it\'s safe to walk into artifacts at 21 seconds (moving into the artifact tile costs 5 seconds, bringing your timer to 26; collecting the artifact costs 3 seconds, bringing the timer from 26 to 29)
- when you have a buff (except the attack bonus buffs), avoid having your timer go below 10 seconds, because when you trigger the 10 seconds movement cd decrease, your timer will first receive the decrease, then you will pay the movement cost (5 seconds without cd reduction buff, 3 seconds with); so these seconds would be wasted (it\'s okay to prioritize movement reduction cd, though, if you feel that you won\'t need the buff you\'re currently using)

Karsons Guide to Inferno

        When playing with other players
        I only MOVE when the timer is 10 or less. This way even if both the other players trip +10s, you should remain movable. With 2 other players, A ratings are easy to get, sometimes;

I only ATTACK when the timer is 8 or less. Attacking mobs costs 12secs. This does not leave you protected from the other 2 players tripping +10s at the same time, but waiting until the time is zero(Movable) is not going to help you with A and S ratings.

        Always collect Elements and Buffs as soon as you step on them, and wait for 10 on the timer. Not collecting while standing on something increases the chance one of the other players may trip something Good or Bad, and the screen announcement will clear your Collect? propt. Which means for Elements (which you MUST have) you have to step off them, then back, and that costs 5 seconds each additional step.;Note: That can work in your favor if you\'re standing on a Buff (which you don\'t *need*, no matter how useful an advance player can make of them), or teleport (which is best only if you have a full party as the other 2 players can pick up slack in cases of a poor;\'portin\').;

Tip: after an attack, let the battlelog time itself out instead of Exiting it. This will help you with the timer, as it will be at or close to 10.

Tip: In case you\'re unaware of it, grabbing any square/anywhere on the screen other than the orange Move-to squares will allow you to move the screen around to see the entire layout. Moving will re-center you.

Tip: Some players say avoid anything which is not Element or Monster. I say move smart, count the time to detour. If a move to avoid something (other than a port) adds 3 or more steps, remember that\'s +5secs for each. Sometimes it is cheaper to motor on through (and collecting) the item.

Tip: at my level/BR,;I find the most useful buff to be the Movement Buff. 3 seconds per step instead of 5? Thank you please.

        When playing Solo, take your time, collect all the Treasures.

        ^ What? could you elaborate? moving at 10s at worst makes you 10+5+10s = 25s CD, which is under the 30s mark. Moreover, moving under 10s is a waste when you collect a -10s buff. What do you mean by other players tripping +10? Their CD and yours are different.

        for the collect tip, as said above, exit/reenter inferno to get the popup back.
