The Incomplete Strategy Guide to League of Angel Reply:2| View:1272
        When reading this, consider that you are looking through the eyes of a free player such as myself. I am sean1209boy, part of UA35\'s CymonthoeS305 division, and I have never paid a penny of my own money because I am relatively broke as it is... I\'m only 16. When reading this guide, also consider that you have never participated in any events or special stuff, only followed the exact instructions and waited patiently for your time in the limelight to come.

        Most of the servers in League of Angels are filled with pay-to-players that rock the leaderboard faster than one can manage. VIPers pop up within minutes after a new server starts up. Free players are left in the dust, but it is often the free players that have the most patience. I have played since October of 2013 and I have my time in the limelight... number 98 on the BR leaderboard, but can beat many of the higher-tier players. Want to know how? Well, continue reading.

        When starting out your character, follow the exact instructions that the screen tells you to. What if you\'re about to miss Team Arena? Pfft, Team Arena\'s overrated... for right now, at least. About to miss World Boss? Guy\'s so strong many of the players will be left in the dust and it\'s not worth it because you\'ll only get about 3k gold per shot, which isn\'t worth it. Taking your time and pacing yourself is the goal here, not to be the fastest. Leave that stress to the spenders of your server.

        Try to level yourself to about level 40 before getting into the more specific aspects of the game. This is where taking your time is essential, because if you speed-level or go too fast on something you\'ll find yourself strictly unbalanced. Once you get to level 40, work on three aspects of your gameplay:
        1) Synthing: the Gear of Triumph will be your most important stake in this as you begin to synth higher up the chain. If your characters aren\'t all full by the time you hit level 60 you\'ll be crushed.
        2) Gems: Level 45 enables you to get uncommon gems (Dodge, Crit, Block, End). Let these be your guide and choose them wisely, you only have 5 slots to choose from.
        3) Miscellaneous Boosters: If you have a fairy, great. Fantastic! Got a high-level mount? Perfect! Just keep using your soulstones, runes, blessed stones, seraph stones, and refining stones in order to boost your stats; you may not realize it but it\'s really helpful when you\'re moving at a snail\'s pace between levels 60 and 80.

        OK, firstly at level 45 you need to focus on your gem and gem enhancement. For each character, your choice may be different. I use HP, PATK, PDEF, MDEF, and Dodge. I also have a few combo gems, but as a free player you\'ll need to wait until those are able to be synthed. Your gem choice will affect you later, but for warriors that is how your gem setup should happen (Dodge could be substituted for Crit or Hit, but it all depends on whether you want to be defensive or offensive). Once this is enhanced, just wait till you level up the gem\'s status and you could be looking at some good-looking stats later on.

        After gems you need to focus on three stages: Eternal Spire, Aegis, and Erebus. Erebus doesn\'t need to worry you too much but around level 57 is when you\'ll need to throw yourself into Erebus to put yourself on the slow downhill to level 60. Eternal Spire supplies Runes, and the Elite Eternal Spire supplies enchantment stones (needed for purifying your equips, which provides a decent boost) and Vitamins (needed to upgrade fairies, a significant bonus for stats especially later on). Aegis is another booster, but for two reasons. (Note: Not sure when the angel sub-skills, i.e. healing and increased attack, become available, but I do believe they are around level 50 or so.) Aegis boosts your angel stats and also the angel sub-skills mentioned just before.

        After these, you only have a few things to be concerned about: gold and synthing the gear to level. Now, gold isn\'t as common as you might think, and come the time when you might find yourself with red gear the upgrading of it is insane. So, keep up with the leveing so that it somewhat matches your level and you should be quite well until it comes time to synth your new gear. I find that gold can come from Cross-Server sometimes as well, so don\'t worry yourself if you don\'t have enough gold. It always finds itself in your lap somehow.

        This is the incomplete strategy guide for levels 1-60 for free players on League of Angels! I say incomplete because I will be adding more, this was added late at night for me and I wasn\'t entirely sound of mind ;) I will be in the next few days and I\'ll add more that I\'m bound to have forgotten. If you need help or if you have any questions/suggestions, feel free to add it to the comments below! Thanks! Sean

The Incomplete Strategy Guide to League of Angels (Free Players Only)

Examine the Hot Events (HE) as they refresh. See what goals you can meet. It takes patience and planning. Got HEs which require spending x-amount of a resource for the next couple days, and you have a lot? Budget how many of that resource you use per day so that you\'ll always fulfill the HE each day of its run, which for the basics (meaning the non-monthly themed ones), a reward is generally getting back the same type resource spent for it.

Want to upgrade some heroes? Try to wait for the Hero Upgrade HE. You\'re going to be walking them up the upgrade ladder, might as well earn some resources (seraph stones) as you do so.;

As you may have noticed, my strategies depend heavily on patience. Avoid the temptation to *spend* resources as you get them. Really, having a built-up stockpile is better. Those upgrade-bubbles have a better chance of tripping the next level with a large run than nickel and dime\'ing them daily. I used to stockpile resources for a week at a time, after level70 I started holding back for a month.

        This is not a popular stance, but I wholeheartedly recommend DO NOT INHERIT! Neither Angels or Heroes. Angels especially since they serve purposes as Guardian Angels and Covenants. You can build up a hero within a week or so of *daily game play*, an Angel might take up to 2 weeks. There is no event or challenge which cannot wait until next time for you to build up a character the long way. Someone going to beat you in CoM or Dom? So what, take it back from them later. Unless they\'re a casher, in which case as a freeplayer you\'ll not hold them back for long anyway.

The main thing about being a (low to) free player is patience and taking advantage of the free things the game *does* give you.

        I too may have more to add later.
