When you have half a dozen guys that can 1-hit all the wolves the entire gauntlet with a high leveled guild with a lot of players showing up and more players getting to that point, there\'s a problem.;

I\'d even talked to a player who said he\'s only able to go to gaunt once every 2 weeks.

We need a system that allows for everyone to get their max hit all the time without worrying about whether or not other players are going to get a hit in. Something like demonic war for Alliances that has a time limit but no monster limit.

You can add a simple temporary fix by continuously increasing the levels of gaunt difficulty but that is only a band-aid to the problem as players will of course catch up with that as well.


The optimal (favorite abused word) fix for the problem is a Demonic War style event that is time based and not hit based. Keep the monster defenses the same and allow players to get the same hits, set a minimum hit to get the lower cooldown (simulating killing a wolf) and a higher cooldown if the hit fails (simulating dying to a wolf) with that minimum hit raising continuously over the next half hour at a rate determined by the guild (just as we have normal, nightmare, purgatory, and hell difficulties now). It\'s literally that simple and that\'s what the community as a whole needs to have a discussion around and hold GTA to. THAT is the actual optimal fix and is still just as balanced to the lower guilds.

To simulate losing gauntlet (statue being destroyed) you\'d have to have a dmg amount that the guild has to do as a whole each set of 2 minutes (1 gauntlet wave). If this damage value isn\'t met then you take 1 hit to the angel. If you take X amount of hits you lose your gaunt just like it works now.

If you think something could be tweaked to be better by all means leave suggestions below.

        yeah this might work fine for big guilds , what about the servers with like 10-20 players left playing? they won`t be able to do anything , same would happen if they increase the difficulty of wolves . as i really don`t know what type of gauntlet they could to to benefit everyone , i took the easiest way and made another guild lvl`it and several of my people go there do gauntlet and come back , sure they lose the contribution numbers but beside that everything is fine.
        oh and btw the idea itself aint bad beside that simulating statue getting destroyed , cause tbh 2 people can finish gauntlet now but might not be able to do that X dmg so i don`t see any point to implement that

        How about this fix: Just make gauntlet a 24 hours event and put a 1/1 attempt on it for everyone, that way people can do it whenever they please/can an no overcrowding will happen either.
        ....events with a small time window suck anyway.

Not true. And again it goes back to what I bolded and underlined. It\'s a band-aid to the problem. We have a high guild level and flag but regardless of that the scaling simply isn\'t enough.

This doesn\'t help big guilds over small guilds. Read what I wrote again about the difficulty settings. The win conditions for gaunt still remain the same. Small guilds will have the same chance a larger one would. The only difference this fix makes is that it increases the cap for total gold attainable.;

I\'ve talked with guilds in their 40\'s that have the same issues. I was told by one official they could only attend a gaunt every two weeks b/c of how they had to schedule it.;

It\'s not an issue exclusive to my guild. When I talk with alliance members they talk about the same problems. Our low level players are getting screwed because everything gets one-hit. It\'s not fair to our One-hitters to take reduced dmg so that the low levels can hit and it\'s not fair to the low levels to not get hits in because everything dies instantly.;

That\'s a problem. There\'s no winning situation in that case. Yes, we\'ve opened a new guild for gauntlet but it won\'t be long before we open and level our third (a month maybe?), eventually our forth and so on.;
