Hello guys, this is another BEST poll for us to show our opinion about new feature, Soul Arms, and its me again who start this another "Best" . And, i have to notice, while we can have all Soul Arms now, the "best" here is the one you should focus to have and build first.

This is my analysis
-Overall, Soul Arms (SA) is not just another "et". Pet and SA both boost squad stat, cast skills during battles. But, unlike Pets, SA skills are just normal, not ultimate type which consume rage, and SA skill cast ONCE per battle, depend on your setting in SA skills bar.

-SA skills can be set, and active once per battle, so its more control and brain challenging for players, not mindless auto fight. Its fine, but, the biggest problem here is the unlock slots, its now force us to use SA skill on 1, 2, 3 first turn, as long as you cant have more SA and unlock more slots.
-Strenght of the SA depend on your main character <== look at this, your main character need focus now. That means more needs for Mount and Costume, ... anyway, means more cash.
-SA resource are from Resource Mines War. There are 2 types of Soul Crystal, 1 for synth SA, 1 for Upgrade. Player can get them both, without cash, even it required much patient, its still archieveable. I think DEV realized the true path to walk , if new features going to be like this, we people will be more happy.

Ok, we go to the main part of topic, about 3SA.

1- Frostrune Pillar: 【Frost Shock】 A blast of frost deals up to 137-247% Character's ATK damage to the enemy with the highest attack and lowers its ATK by 15%, lasts 3 rounds.
-Look great, Frost shock focus on enemy strongest damdealer, look nice to counter Moira-Boss formation, when it provide nice dam without feeding rage, and reduce a significantly 15% AT. This SA is free, so its basic and nice for free players. But later, its not so great. Why? Because this SA much more ineffective when you meet Pamela-Boss formation. Pamela usually has the highest attack, and shes immune to all debuff, therefore makes Frostrune Pillar lost 50% of its strenght.
-Passive Boost Attack, Hit and Def.


2- Dragon Warlance: 【Breath of Life】 Restore HP equal to up to 50-91% of Character's ATK to the entire squad.
-Healer SA. 1 AOE heal, it sounds fine. We could go no healer formation, combine with "HP drain", "heal per turn" options from Relics, the possible of formation with no healer is coming, but its not recommend when you are not rich.
-Passive Boost HP, Dodge, DF.


3- Abyssal Blade: 【Blade of Ruin】 Summon the Blade of Ruin to deal up to 350-680% Character'stotal ATK damage split among all enemy targets, and reduce healing effects on enemies by 25%for 3 rounds.
-AOE again, its another ******* AOE again! Note that 350-680% damage SPLIT among all enemy targets, its exactly like Moira Ultimate and even stronger when it reduce enemy healing effect by 25%, for 3 turns, its ridiculous.
-Passive Boost HP and AT, ok but who care the boost when AOE is too strong .


For me, Abyssal Blade is the first must have, because its overpower, then 2 others. Timing and Skill bar setting now is not a choice.

kinda stupid poll... you do know you get to use ALL the skills as you unlock the soul arms right?
you get to use up to 5 different skills which activate at the start of each battle round.

Frostrune Pillar you get for free, so no need to talk about it. The other two ... I simply need both of them. I get the healing thing last, since I want it to fire in round 3 anyway, and for that I need the other one before.

You are wrong Pamela isnt immune to this Debuff....

  • I can confirm. SA always hits, and always debuffs, regardless if they're immune to it or not.

There are 5 skill to be unlocked with only 3 soul arms. What are the other skills besides frost shock, breath of life and blade of ruins and which artifacts are needed to unlock them?

Regarding the Frostrune Pillar on Pamela. I noticed something on Pamela's 2nd Passive, usually the word "immunity" (correct me if im wrong), shows up on debuffs like stun chaos and kays hold. But it doesnt show up on stats reducing debuff like atk down, and atk down word will show instead. So im assuming that status reducing debuffs like the Frostrune Pillar's skill will still affect Pamela.

Yes, Soul Arms skills affect Pamela. Whether or not this was intended hasn't been answered by the developers, afaik.

  • in fact the description of soul arms ingame specifically states that soul arm skills can not be prevented by any form of immunity it says their "status effects cannot be prevented or removed"
    there has been confusion regarding this since the soul arms were introduced and people dont even seem to read the descriptions that are given ingame XD

Are we able to switch around the order of moves once we have multiple skills? It's not set permanently the first time is it.

I got the Abyssal Blade and tried to test it with my MC while switching gears to pump up his attack. Still, the damage it dealt is not really something, so I don't recommend to build MC. Only the option that reduces 25% healing is worthy. And based on this test, the lance will be kinda useless as it will not heal much as well.

  • This is because the AOE damage done by the sword is distributed amongst all 5 heroes, so you have to take the total amount of damage being dealt by your Abyssal Blade and divide it by 5. AOE damage almost always hits for less, because having it hit for 680% per hero would basically make matches meaningless.

  • I know. That's why I wrote later on when the blade is ranked up enough it may be really nice. But at this moment, I don't see anybody use anything other than the pillar and I figured those who started Soul War at the first day should have the 2nd soul arm unlocked today.

    For my AOE squads, I'd like to rank up the blade but nobody is using anything other than the pillar bothers me a bit now, and there is still no way to recycle it.
