        Ok lets start this out by saying I\'m a nerd with programing skills. As a hobby I have run several servers from simple projects like Minecraft to more advanced projects like emulated Everquest servers. I get the need for rollbacks, sadly its often the only way to handle mistakes I made. Notice the word I in that sentence. There has never in the last 10 years been a time where I edited or injected code into my server and given credit to or blamed the people that used the server for its success or failure. Currently your team is rolling back the server because somehow we as users of your service have failed.

        What really happened here was YOU messed up.; You know it, we know and furthermore you are blaming us for playing your game wile it was broken. WHAT? I can personally say that I did what I do every day, did every event and used every resource I had to maximize my character. Then I did more to maximize my efforts in the event that you laid out before us. At what point did I/we accidentally abuse a bug? Was it when I spent 7k gems to get to 1st place? Or was it when I logged on to a game that you knew had errors?

        What you meant to say was Dear players, due to an error on our part the code for the Halloween event was flawed which resulted in bugs that not only allowed for event points being calculated improperly but also allowed for the use of some items that were not intended. The end result of this was corruption in our database causing a wide variety of errors for players. Sadly at this point we have no choice but to rollback the game to a stable point and correct our mistakes before reintroducing the Halloween event again.

        So roll it back and fix your mistake, that\'s going to hurt a lot of people that spent an entire event doing everything they could in the game. They have forever lost that time. You have no choice at this point.

        What I am more concerned with here though is the money that people spent in the last two days. I personally purchase gems on a need basis not a want. I purchase them according to what rewards I can get at that very moment. Crediting me the gems that I spent over the last two days would do me no good I don\'t need a bulk lump sum of gems I need my gems to be purchased for specific reasons like getting recharge bonuses for items. This again is something you cannot give back to us. But you can give me back my money so that I can spend it again wisely on that need basis. Keep in mind it is people like me that pay your bills. Treat enough of us unfairly and we will stop putting food on your table.

        here is what answered me FoF about my lost time in oaklane ^^

        As you know very well that time and tide waits for none and time never returns to anyone. The times that you have spent in oaklane will be in the forum of free realm gems in the form of;everyday aggregate login.

perfectly spoken alien...This is not said to elicit pity, but I am 18 yrs old and been diagnosed with non-Hodgkin\'s lymphoma . There is no cure and the prognosis isn\'t good. All of my days are numbered . Time is the 1 commodity you cant earn back or buy more of. So far from just this 1 mistake of YOURS I lost 1 whole day , plus the 16 hours of this maintenance . I can tell you almost all the kids on my floor play online games , it is our way to still have friends and try to enjoy the time we have. Maybe get some perspective on the people your horrible customer service is affecting. 1000% agree with alien This was not our fault, it was yours and yours alone. Own your mistake , learn from it , and do better in the future . If you were a restaurant you would have the worst yelp reviews ever and no one would go.

YOUR MESS UP , I lost all chest (60 wraith chests ) yesterday and today I will lost it again , 5M golds from ladder for 2 days. upgrade holy relic 3 times all sucess and I need to redo. dont you think it is possible to get 3 tries and get 3 sucess again (with 50% sucess rate ) ?

Agreed. I too purchase on an as needed basis aside from the monthly card and did so for this event to obtain the additional items in effort to boost my score as well as to buy more runs on the quests which gave said items. However, seeing I have sent in 2 tickets in the past months that have never been resolved where I question the status and they say please be patient over and over and over (one being from the dragons treasure where they thought it was a great time for an upgrade - and one I paid good money to win) I don\'t hold on to any hope this will become a reality.;
My only advise aside from fixing the SMS (another not so hot topic for the dev team) is to stop opening new servers until you can mend the immediate issues presented in the existing servers;, and provide decent customer service to all those waiting for resolution.;.;

        This is the best post about rollback so far. You are so right and you explained it so well, I can only say: well done.
        It would have been such a smart and respectful way for the staff to introduce the issue to us that way.
